Usually, I'm pretty firm in my conviction that, as an Xbox 360 owner, I made the right choice. I say "usually" because every so often, a game comes along that makes me want to immediately run out to a nearby Gamestop and swap my alabaster block for a sleek, shiny PS3.
Valkyria Chronicles is one of those games.
Tactical RPG? Set in a fantasy version of World War II Europe? With a distinctive watercolor aesthetic? Sega, that just isn't fair. I'm pretty much considering getting a GameFly account and hijacking my roommate's PS3 in order to finally play Valkyria Chronicles and experience its story firsthand. It looks like I'm going to want to do that sooner, rather than later, since Sega's just put out a new picture hinting at a coming Chronicles announcement:

News site Andriasang dug up this file, called "Code1935.jp," on a Sega-registered website. The date it mentions--September 16th--coincides with the first day of the Tokyo Game Show. I think we can be pretty sure that this is related to Valkyria Chronicles in some way, given the appearance of the tank and the soldiers. We'll have to wait to find out whether this hints at a spankin'-new console sequel, another hand-held adventure, or something else entirely.
The file name might clue us in to the setting, however: 1935 would place this mystery game squarely in Valkyria Chronicles 1 territory. And, in case you're curious, the motto that appears in script--"Altaha Abilia 422"--means "Always Ready," according to Wikipedia.
