Now You Know: What Jay-Z And Kanye's 'Kray' Really Means

THEY'RE SO SMART, YOU GUYS.

Either Jay-Z and Kanye West are the smartest people on the entire planet or everyone else in the world is officially stupid when it comes to "Kray". Actually- wait, we just checked with the Census and it's totally both. GAHHHHH WE'RE ALL DUMB!

So Jay and Yeezy's track "N*ggas In Paris" from their completely awesome collaboration album Watch The Throne features a verse where Yeezy artfully creates the phrase "that sh*t cray". Common sense would tell all us listeners that "cray" must be some hip shortened form of "crazy", which is fine and super cool, right? WRONG.

"Cray" isn't a shortened "crazy". It actually starts with a K, and refers to people. The Kray twins, Ronald and Reginald Kray, were London crime lords back in the 50s and 60s, so when Jay is in Paris, London spitting "Ball so hard, motherf*ckers wanna find me," Kanye is actually likening the two of them to the Kray brothers. WOW. That sh*t cray! Or kray! You know what, forget it.
