I'll let the character of Shane sum up where season five left us...
SHANE - I killed Pilar. With a croquet mallet. By the pool. She was gonna kill us, so I popped the b*tch right in the melon.
Thank you, Shane. The season six premiere of Weeds - appropriately titled "Thwack" - airs tonight at 10pm on Showtime. And it really is quite good. At a point where most shows are comfortably treading water or desperately trying to reinvent themselves, Weeds is simply evolving, and in the most entertaining way possible. Nancy, still the worst mother ever but caustic and charismatic to the last, must think quick and get her family the hell out of dodge. Easier said than done.
Mary-Louise Parker. There's simply no actress like her, and in a role like this, she shines eternally. An actress with balls in a show with balls... a dream come true. If the season 6 premiere is any indication, and it should be, the road-trip/deadly pursuit combination fits Weeds like a glove. A fingerless leather glove. With sequins.
Sum...ology: There's life in the old girl yet.
