Marvel has just released a first look at the personalized 3D glasses themed around the characters inThe Avengers. At participating theaters, audience members can choose to rock Iron Man, Thor, Hulk or Captain America specialized glasses. The glasses will cost an extra $5 in ticket price, but you’ll be able to wear them to many other 3D movies. I would assume that they don’t come with any special abilitites but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were more comfortable and more durable than the typical 3D glasses.

Directed by Joss Whedon, the film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson. The Avengers opens May 4th. To read more about The Avengers click here.
