Aaron Sorkin, the man who somehow made a film about Facebook pretty darn great, makes his grand return to television by once again tackling the political sphere in his new HBO drama The Newsroom. The weekly depiction of a news anchorman (Jeff Daniels) suffering a Network-style breakdown and the consequences that follow from his newfound honesty is sure to be rife with Sorkin’s trademark witty dialogue (or the universal language known as “Sorkinese”), and if you’re wondering whether Sorkin’s new drama will take full advantage of the freedom of language on HBO, do not fret. "I’m saying this admiringly," Sorkin explained to Vulture, "these guys are able to compose concertos out of just saying motherf*cker." Hopefully, the show will also embrace some of the more…sensual freedoms found on HBO.
