I would rhetorically ask if you guys are ready and willing to hear some new Red Hot Chili Peppers tracks, but I think we all know the answer to that question: "Who poured maple syrup in my shoes?"
Those 18 new songs we told you about are definitely still coming out and, yes, we've got some official details for you this time.

Via press release, the 18 new songs will be released via 9 double-sided singles, to be released digitally and on 7" vinyl. The release dates look a little something like this…
August 14 – "Strange Man" b/w "Long Progression"
September 11 – "Magpies" b/w "Victorian Machinery"
October 2 – "Never Is A Long Time" b/w "Love Of Your Life"
November 6 – TBD
December 4 – TBD
December 18 – TBD
Early 2013 – TBD
“Some songs seem to have a lot more of an agenda than others," says "new" guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. "Some songs play well with others and some songs need more attention and a little extra care. Here are some songs that seemed to want to pair up and take a later train.”
Their last album, I'm With You (see above), was a bit of a mixed bag quality-wise, so I'd expect similar results from the new/unreleased material, though you never know—the Chili Peppers are always a little cagey like that. This fall is just looking better and better the closer we get, don't you think?
