I was a little worried there for a bit, but the obscenely prolific Ryan Adams we all know and love is back in a very big way.
This Friday he'll release a staggeringly massive vinyl box set Live After Deaf (i.e. Adams was forced to step away from music in 2009 due to a debilitating struggle with Meniere's disease), a collection of 144 live acoustic cuts pressed on 15 LPs and packaged in a handsome navy blue collector's box (see above). No word yet on which songs will be included or where they were recorded (or even when), but we do know that the set will include a download code for all 144 tracks plus an additional 74 digital-only cuts.
Needless to say, if you've got an entire week of your life to spare and only feel like listening to acoustic Ryan Adams music, this is the box set for you. (Grab yours this Friday at 1:30pm EST at paxamrecords.com.)
Not sure what is says about me, but if there's at least one version of "Amy" somewhere in there, I'm totally buying one. So long, lunch for the next month!
