The Twitterverse can be a cruel, cruel world. Do you know how stupid you look when you follow 8,436 people and only have 23 followers? No one cares that you're at the grocery store, or that your favorite color is blue. And hello idiot, celebrities like Kim Kardashian are probably not going to follow you back. But honestly, do you care about her life that much? Ew, we hope not.
We know we don't have much room to talk with our 113 followers (I know, our popularity is overwhelming), but we just found out about these sites and we hope they can help our situation, as well as yours. FashionOlogy presents: How to figure out who unfollows you on Twitter so you can unfollow them back! Game on, bitches.

[And if you're really in the mood to drink alcohol while you read this, start a drinking game out of this article and take a shot every time I say something containing the word "follow." Get ready to get plastered. Sorry in advance, especially if you're at work. Bottoms up!]
The LazyUnfollow App
What It Does: Ever wonder who the jerk was who made your followers count hit an odd, non-round number? Lucky for you, this handy iPhone and Android app allows you to see all of your new followers and, more importantly, your new unfollowers. It can then show you if you're following the asshole who deleted you, and allows you to unfollow them directly from your phone. Sucks to suck!
I first found out about LazyUnfollow from my roommate who screamed across the apartment that someone she thought was her friend just unfollowed her. Naturally, I needed to know how the hell she knew that, and thus LazyUnfollow was introduced into my life.
The Upside: It comes in a free version, called LazyUnfollow Lite. It's the same thing as its pricey counterpart (read: 99 cents), but a bit more limited. You can also link multiple Twitter accounts and access them all from the same device without having to sign out and sign back in. Plus, you do it all from your phone, which makes it super easy to access while on-the-go.
The Downside: After every time you check your followers and unfollowers, it asks if you would like to tweet that you have this amount of new followers and this amount of new unfollowers. It's simple to click "no," but sometimes fingers slip and you end up having to trek all the way to your profile to delete the accidental tweet. Whatever, it's still worth it. I check it once every few days, and it's always a wonderful feeling knowing whoever unfollowed you is also losing a follower in return. Karma's a bitch.
ManageFlitter.com
What It Does: This website has all the bells and whistles when it comes to unfollowing Twitter accounts. Not only can you see people who aren't following you back, but you can also filter who you're following by different criteria. For example, want to get rid of all the egg Twitter icons on your home page? There's a filter for that. Once you click the "No Profile Image" option, you can then click on all of the users who you're sick of being all egg-like and boring, and with one click mass-unfollow them.
The other filters on ManageFlitter include people who don't tweet in English, users who have been inactive on the site, users who are too talkative, users who are too quiet and lastly, all of the losers who follow more people than are following them. (We're making this list so you don't have to be one of those people, because as this app suggests, it's not a good look and will make people want to unfollow you.)
The Upside: It's insanely easy to use. You can mass-unfollow at the click of a button and have a few more ways to decide it's time to delete them off of your Twitter homepage rather than just karma. (Example: I just unfollowed everyone who hasn't tweeted in over six months, thanks to this site.) When unfollowing you also have the option to deselect people who are popular and verified, so you're always following the coolest people on Twitter.
The Downside: I honestly can't find anything bad about this site. I'm sure there is a limit or something, but unless you're dealing with thousands of followers you should be fine. It's simple, it's free, and did we mention that it's awesome? UNFOLLOW AWAY!
