Watch: Primal Scream Premiere "It's Alright, It's OK" Video
Primal Scream's new album More Light (out June 18) features more than just highly-publicized cameos from Robert Plant and My Bloody Valentine's Kevin Shields and Debbie Googe: judging from the video to new song "It's Alright, It's OK," the album (their first since 2008's Beautiful Future) also presents a return to the psychedelic, gospel-inflected rock of their 1991 masterpiece Screamadelica.

In case you weren’t aware, Matchbox Twenty finally decided to snub their five year hiatus (10 years if you count an album filled with original material), as they’ve got a new album, North, slated to release on September 4th, as well as a freshly released music video for the single “She’s So Mean” that’s carrying their revival.
I can’t blame fans for being excited for Rob Thomas and the gang to be back, but the music video for “She’s So Mean” is unfortunately loaded down with one cliché after another. It’s like a makeshift Youtube video resulting from the inspiration and lessening of a Maroon 5 production. Pouty lips, booty shorts and writing on a mirror in lipstick. Really, Matchbox Twenty? Not one of your most original works. If you’re coming back from a hiatus we want to see you, Matchbox Twenty, not some bimbotron.
“She’s So Mean” leans towards the pop end of the music-spectrum, but after a second listen I guarantee fans will begin to bop their heads to the catchiest of choruses. The melody and concept of the song is easy enough for everyone to enjoy. I do prefer a little more modern rock of the 1990s from Matchbox Twenty rather than the ascending number of pop songs they’ve spewed out over the past decade, but I support them nonetheless. They’re good at what they do; straddling that line of rock and pop, walking back and forth or leaping from one side to another, “She’s So Mean” as a song is no exception.
What do you guys think? It is too Pop for you, or can you handle it? Let us know in the comment section below!!

this isn't the official video for the song. This is just the lyric video that the record company wanted to put out for the release. The guys haven't even started to film the actual video yet. I really like the song. It is more poppy than usual but it's a fun summer shake your butt kind of song and we all need those. Rob has said that the album will have all kinds of different sounds. Some songs will make you cry , laugh, dance & think. So I'm sure there will be a little something in there for everyone. I for one can't wait to hear it.
