Undercover hookers. Sounds like a reality show. For Khalif Wyatt, it kind of was.
Wyatt, who was celebrating his 21st birthday in Atlantic City with friends, was arrested over the weekend on prostitution and resisting arrest charges. Though the details are vague, it is assumed he tried to pay a prostitute money... on his birthday.... in AC.... to perform sexual relations on him. I know, I'm still trying to figure out what the problem is too.
I'm kidding.
Wyatt was one of seven men and 16 women arrested in the... in the... is this a sting? I think they call it a sting, right?
Wyatt released this statement after the incident:
"I apologize to my family, teammates, coaches and Temple University for the embarrassment that I have caused. I was in Atlantic City this past weekend celebrating my 21st birthday with friends and exercised very poor judgment by allowing myself and my friends to be put in a compromising situation. I intend to cooperate with the authorities during their investigation and the legal process."
Unfortunately for Wyatt, he's a pretty good ball-player, which means this story will find its way to numerous news outlets nation-wide. If I had a dollar for every guy I knew who paid for sex in AC on his birthday, I'd probably have $2.75 (one guy didn't go all the way, one guy watched).
It's comforting to know that the police are fully engaged and determined to get horny 21-year olds off the streets. God knows how dangerous they are.
