i just download an iphone app that helps couch potatoes get into 10K shape 3 days a week for 14 weeks. I'm not saying that I want to run a 10K - who knows maybe I will, but I would love to get back into running shape again and dont know the proper way to do it without hurting or discouraging myself. I think this is going to be great!
week 1
brisk 5 minute walk warmup
alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes
TOTALLY DOABLE!
week2
brisk 5 minute walk warmup
alternate 90 minutes of jogging and 2 minutes of walking for a total of 20 minutes
TOTALLY DOABLE!
week3
brisk 5 minute walk warmup
then do 2 reps of the following:
jog 90 seconds - walk 90 seconds
jog 3 minutes - walk 3 minutes
you get the idea.
LETS DO THIS!
