John commented on I Have A Lot To Say About 'The Great Gatsby' Trailer:
“I think it's visually beautiful, just like most of his movies. I also don't really feel like the music is a bad touch. I mean, for god's sake, Romeo + Juliet was set in modern times with guns. I think it adds a nice flair. The only thing that I don't like is that I always considered Gatsby to be this mysterious figure who isn't seen very often. So I don't like that they're showing him so much : /”

I'm A Fan Of This News: Bret Easton Ellis Wants To Adapt '50 Shades Of Grey'

Adaptation

Hey internet, let's talk all about the various 50 Shades of Grey rumors. Is Aaron Johnson going to be playing Christian Grey? Ryan Gosling? Emma Stone to play the submissive? If it's a literal adaptation, won't the movie just be porn? A few days ago, we squashed the rumor that Angelina Jolie would be directing the soccermom erotica. Now, we have an even better contender for a writer- Bret Easton Ellis. Who does he want to direct? David Cronenberg. SUCH A BIG FAN OF THIS NEWS.

<<Check out Cronenberg's latest; Cosmopolis>>

I'm a huge fan of Bret Easton Ellis, especially his twitter. Not so long ago, he tweeted his notes (facetiously?) on an American Psycho sequel. The whole thing was pure gold. Now he's saying that he would love to adapt the S&M New York Times Bestseller, hoping the powers that be don't think that the whole thing is a joke?

As for who BEE wants to be in the film? The Skars. I QUOTE: "Cronenberg and Alexander Skarsgård is a no-brainer. I've seen Alexander naked so many times at the gym that we both attend: perfect casting."

We all have seen Skarsgard naked (True Blood) so I think we can all agree that he would be pretty awesome as Grey. His casting for Ana also really excites me, in both a sexual and nerdy way.

<<All True Blood news and recaps here>>

"I would love it if we lived in a world where Lena Dunham could be Ana in Fifty Shades of Grey but I don't think we do. I think she's hot."

He also threw out Kristen Stewart and Scarlet Johansson. Boo to this. They're too....ehhhhh.

I think at least the studio should consider another reunion of BEE and David Cronenberg. Come on Hollywood, making this mediocre book into a dark and strangely hilarious movie would be the best decision you have ever made.

Chris Exantus: If this somehow involves Christian Bale running around, drenched in blood, I'm all in.
