Despite my general disappointment in NBC's "breakout" fashion show Fashion Star (I mean, there's just so much going on!) it seems the reality television show has definitely been renewed for a second season. In addition to handing out a hefty payroll to sartorial titans like Elle Macpherson, Nicole Ricci, Jessica Simpson and John Varvatos, it looks like Modern Vintage CEO (and Nicole's BFF) Rick Cytrynbaum will be joining the lineup. Because there clearly aren't enough mentors on that show already.

Jessica Simpson Tells Us We Can Expect On 'Fashion Star'
“They’ve asked me to work with the designers and curate for the next season,” Cytrynbaum told WWD. “It’s all about authenticity. The minute something seems contrived, [retailers] don’t want it.”
Now that the first season's over (congrats on your $6.6 million payoff, Kara Laricks!), do you think you'd tune in for another 10 episodes? Better yet, will Jessica Simpson still be involved now that she has baby Max to tend to? My guess is yes.
Fashion Star will air Sunday nights at 8pm.
