As I write this, I'm about 11 hours and counting away from seeing Radiohead perform their first Metro Detroit concert in more than 15 years at the Palace of Auburn Hills, where, hopefully, they'll pull out brand new song "Full Stop"… you know, the one that, until now, sounded like "mmmfmmmm mmfmfmfffm" and only existed in sound checks? "Like wine, it will better with age," noted Thom Yorke after the band debuted it during last night's show in Chicago. Check it out after the jump. (We've got the "…I can't hear anything" version, too, if you'd care to compare and contrast.)
The sound quality is (obviously) still less than ideal… but at least there's an actual song in there now, right? The shuffling, skittering drums are definitely in line with what they've been doing lately, though I love the gut-punch bass line and those droning, menacing keyboard chords… or, you know, whatever it is Jonny Greenwood is up to on his side of the stage.
Thoughts? Leave some paw prints on our comments section below. Be sure to check back tomorrow, when we'll have a complete, thorough review, breakdown and recovery session from tonight's show.
