Pop quiz: what’s most printed book in America? Answer: The Bible, which has been the answer since the start of the printing press. Well, America, prepare for the Good Book to become that much more prevalent as news for the upcoming Darren Aronofsky epic Noah comes flooding in (pun clearly intended.) Russell Crowe will beard up to play the patriarch himself (or adapt his beard from the one he has in the upcoming Les Miserables movie.)

In recent news, Emma Watson, fresh from her stint in the upcoming Perks of Being a Wallflower) has been in talks to take on the role of a lifetime (her character is a century old in the Bible at the time of the flood, which is, by last count, a lifetime and then some) as Ila, the love interest of Noah’s son Shem. Which is crazy because Logan Lerman, Watson’s Wallflower co-star, is playing Shem. What a crazy twist…kind of like those in the Bible. Well played, Hollywood casting agents. Well played.
