I suppose it's a testament to precisely how big of a deal Radiohead truly are that even the faintest hums, the quietest whispers, the most hollow of echoes even vaguely resembling a new song are considered newsworthy. I imagine if Jonny Greenwood dropped his cell phone on the ground and it tumbled along the concrete in a semi-rhythmic pattern, someone out there would find musical value in it.
Scoffing aside, Radiohead did perform a new song called "Full Stop" during soundcheck before their Tuesday concert in Cincinnati… though good luck picking out any of it from the two rubbernecking videos that have popped up online. Give 'em a once over below (via NME.com).
I know this is the part where I'm supposed to describe it as "mysterious" and "obliquely beautiful," and maybe I'm just completely tone deaf this morning, but I can't hear a damned thing. Of course, it's Radiohead, so I'm sure it's amazing—as my favorite YouTube commenter says, "Can't really hear it but it sounds magical."
If you can pick out any of Radiohead's "Full Stop," please let the rest of us know what it sounds like in our comments section below. Much obliged.
