In the latest installment of “Flo Rida Sings the Same Nondescript Verse over the Same Tired-Ass Beat,” Flo Rida has released “Run,” the newest single from his upcoming album Wild Ones, which is another club anthem destined for Top 40 greatness. This time, his partner-in-sh*tty-crime is LMFAO’s Redfoo, who, thank God, reminds us once again how he’s “running through these hos like Drano” and then, if I’m interpreting his verse correctly, talks about eating a mango as a post-coital snack.
But this gem has a visual component as well, one that needs to be watched in its entirety because a lot happens, and quickly. In choosing a temporary video to accompany the new track, I can only assume that Flo Rida & Co. made the deft decision to feature an attractive girl running, since that is the title of his song and this way his fans wouldn’t get confused. (Watch out for Flo’s follow-up track, “Knit.” Teaser: strategically-placed yarn.)
Of course, you will find me begrudgingly dancing to this in about a month and probably singing along since I have listened to the song about four times and now know all the words! “Run” will inevitably become this one of this summer’s radio-friendly songs, but it’s harmless, so I’ll just roll with the punches. I’m tired of trying to get low to Explosions in the Sky, anyway.
