Remember the day when you first found out that John Mayer and Taylor Swift actually did it? Like, the day you realized they weren't just singing together and strumming their guitars? Like, in actuality Taylor got duped by the musician leaving her to inevitably write him a hate song like all the other exes? Of course you do. In fact, you're probably blasting Taylor's "Dear John" right now. Which brings us to our point: John Mayer is finally coming clean about what he thought about the song and he's furious. He let it all out recently to Rolling Stone.
John Mayer Wrote A Song About Jen Aniston

"It made me feel terrible," the 34-year-old admitted. "Because I didn't deserve it."
Oh, it gets better.
"["Dear John" is] cheap songwriting. It's abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, 'Wait til he gets a load of this!' That's bulls--t," he added. "It was a really lousy thing to do. I never got an email. I never got a phone call. I was really caught off-guard."
Well, a phone call would have been too much. Right? Like, what would she have said? "Oh hey, you are a complete douche and a new song is coming out talking about your twisted games and cigarette smoking. In short, I should have listened to my mom but I swore I was fine and I lit up this whole damn town without you."
Of course it would have been more dramatic if he wrote a song to her but that would have been more awkward than a dance off. A song off? Lame.
After almost two years it's interesting that NOW John is coming forward about it. But does he have a case? Maybe, but a song is nothing to get angry about if he really did hit it and quit it back in 2009.
John, why you gotta be so mean?
