Bad case of the Wednesdays? Need an excuse to try out that new office chair dance move you've been honing in your head? Never fear—our pal Four Tet (aka Kieran Hebden) has been releasing new music like a crazy person this year, all via his very own Text Records label imprint. Last month, Four Tet dropped the surprisingly uptempo "Jupiter" b/w "Orcas" (listen here). Now, we're treated with another choppy, pleasantly bopping bit of business called "128 Harps." I'll give you three guesses which classical instrument he opted to sample.
Check it out below.

In the past, I've always thought of listening to Four Tet as the musical equivalent of chugging a can of Marley's Mellow Mood, but who knows, maybe he's really turning over a new leaf? And maybe, under that leaf, are shuffling glitch-pop tunes with plucky harp samples and funky synth loops? Not crazy about the stuttering vocal bit, but the harp samples are (surprise) especially lovely—get Joanna Newsom to wail and ramble on this and you've got the makings of a surefire hit.
Any thoughts on Four Tet's decidedly "up" new direction? Leave some paw prints on our comments section below.
