These are the kinds of things you were supposed to have taken advantage of several days ago, not because you're lethargic, but because SPIN has had this up for something like a week, and I've just been too stupid to realize it. Not that you're waiting on me or anything, but if you've stumbled here to find this, you should probably check the priorities and sources driving your agenda. Anyway, that's that.
The deal here is that you can catch a free stream of Oddisee's upcoming album People Hear What They Say over at SPIN for however long the decide to keep it up before the June 12 release date, so I suggest you click the aforementioned jump to do so rather than continue reading on about my praise for the DMV producer-emcee.
If you caught Rock Creek Park last year, let alone any of Oddisee's Season LPs and various projects, then you know the guy has an ear for weaving the nostalgic and synesthetic into his instrumentals. His music always has some sort of "experience" aspect of it; you just have to take a certain ear to it, not that that's the only way to listen. Bluntly, it's just some of the best production you can find.
Get the f*ck over to SPIN and listen (that's probably the only time in my life I'll ever tell someone to go to SPIN).
