Lana Del Rey- a singer, a Mulberry handbag, and now, a manicure. Tonight at Mulberry’s Spring Street store in New York during the official launch party for the structured leather satchel, fans can get Lana-ed out with customized manicures inspired by the fashion muse. Ugh.
Zoe Pocock, creative director of Nail Rock, a London-based nail wrap line, is responsible for the collaboration, using the colors of the bag and Del Rey's 1950's retro-feel to create a collection of nail overlays called “Lake Placid,” named after the singer’s hometown.
The designs are for the global launch of the carry-all, but Style.com reports that Pocock is considering making them available for purchase on Nail Rock's website.
Sure, she's drop dead gorgeous, but that's pretty much where the hype ends. (I'll take this time to remind you of her laughable, extremely awkward, extremely talentless SNL performance back in January.) What's next? Lana Del Rey lip injections?
