I pity the fool that wasn’t watching Conan O’Brien’s return to The Late Show With David Letterman last night—especially since one of our favorites, Regina Spektor, was the warmly received (yeah, watch it up through the end) musical guest. Her new album What We Saw From The Cheap Seats drops May 29 via Sire/Warner Bros. Records—in the meantime, watch last night’s fantastic performance of first single :All The Rowboats" below.

Yes, that’s Regina’s voice on the drummer’s synth pad, and yes, it’s kind of the coolest thing ever. I liked (but didn’t love) the song before, but something about seeing it live really gives me the proverbial shivers. (Okay, a few literal shivers too, I can’t lie.) What can I say, I’m a sucker for long-haired cellists.
