Check Out This Amazing Cthulhu/Monopoly Mash-Up

Jonah Gardner

I'm pretty sure that when I was younger, my family owned four or five different versions of Monopoly, the classic Parker Brothers board game that has been adapted to be about everything from NASCAR to coffee and Heinz products. However, I think that we can safely say that there has never been a version about the Lovecraftian destruction of Atlantic City.

Well, thanks to some intrepid game designers, that little oversight is about to be corrected. The Doom That Came To Atlantic City is an independent board game that gives you the opportunity to destroy Boardwalk and Park Place once and for all. You play as one of Lovecraft's Great Old Ones and your job is to open gates to other dimensions and destroy the city, pushing the old people and tacky tourists who have come to gamble to the brink of madness while levelling the city.

This looks like good, silly fun and the best part is you can help get it made. There's a Kickstarter for the project right now and you can pledge money and pre-order a copy. Now if only we can get that Wireopoly going.
