Nature abhors a vacuum and so, after a full day without the teaser trailer for Anchorman 2 debuting online (which, in Internet time, is like 1000 years), some noble soul has stepped in to post the video to Vimeo. Be warned, the aspect ratio is kind of weird and the videographer makes the bold decision to turn the camera sideways at the end, but if you want to see Brick Tamland say "creamed jeans" here's your chance (at least until the studio gets it taken down):
It sure feels like Anchorman, even if it feels more like one of the extended riffs from Anchorman that ended up cut from the movie and popped up in the deleted scenes on DVD. No one got killed with a trident, but I was glad that the trailer didn't feel the need to repeat any of the classic jokes from the first movie (even if it didn't answer the mystery of why some members of the Channel 4 News Team only have one leg). Again, there's still no script and no real indication of when the movie will be released (beyond 2013) but prepare yourselves for the return of Ron Burgundy
