So, we got word at the f*cking stupid completely unnecessary Maybach Music Group conference that Ross, amongst other things, will finally be releasing his continually-delayed album God Forgives, I Don't on July 31, and to put things into motion on the hype end, he decided to toss out this Usher-featured single "Touch 'N You" that, honestly, is just alright.
Before anything, I just have to ask: why would you split "touching" into two words? "Touch 'n you" is pointless. I can only assume it's some defunct attempt at creativity by splitting up the idea of touch and the undefined "you" of the track, but that really is purely asinine. It's a worthless matter, but I have to ask.
As for the song, it's pretty barren, which isn't something that usually goes over well with Rozay. Usher's hook is loaded down with plenty of studio work, but the instrumentals are absent at their worst, leaving Ross floundering around with the same words we've heard in every track he's ever done amidst ethereal nothingness. Regardless, it's still a decent track; it's just not THAT single that I think heads were expecting.
Anyway, you be the decider here. Check out the track below, and mark July 31 down.
