Aw guys, it's so good to be back on the ol' FilmOlogy page bringing you the best of news. Of course, whilst I was away in the deep jungles of Columbia eating my own fingernails (look for my own episode of Locked Up Abroad soon), The Avengers was making a crap load of crash. The movie should've been rated B...for billion! Oh boy am I rusty.
The superhero smash (hulk joke hulk joke) has now reportedly crossed the billion mark internationally meaning this franchise will probably go on forever until Robert Downey Jr dies or Scarlett Johansson gets fat.
Even the opening of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp's new film Dark Shadows couldn't beat the Marvel wonder. While Avengers made $102 million this weekend, the vampire reboot made $28.8m, which isn't the best for an opening weekend with such an epic cast.
Anyway, this is the point in which people like me can make all sorts of crazy judgements for Google purposes. Ahem: THE AVENGERS IS THE BIGGEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME, SURPASSES 18 BILLION DOLLARS, JOSS WHEDON AWARDED NOBEL PEACE PRICE.
