Listen To Jay-Z's "$100 Bill" From 'The Great Gatsby' Soundtrack
Well, we figured this was probably going to happen: with The Great Gatsby near release (or maybe it released--I didn't feel like looking it up), tracks from the highly-lauded soundtrack have been beginning to leak, and the most recent, and probably most anticipated one put together by Jay-Z, has now joined the others.
The track, titled "$100 Bill," is Jay-Z solo, and should be a nice follow-up to "Open Letter" that we saw awhile ago.
You can catch the track at NPR. Check out the full Gatsby tracklist below.

President Obama Says Jay-Z Is One Of His 99 Problems
So, the whole "conspiracy" deal surrounding President Obama's supposed association with Jay-Z's recent trip to Cuba (I'd like to state that I've never really figured any connection to exist here) has simmered down to the point where everyone can grasp it as nonsense, so much so that it has become a joke, specifically to President Obama, who dropped a few cracks about it at he annual White House Correspondents' Dinner.
First, let's note that Obama made his grand entrance accompanied by DJ Khaled's "All I Do is Win." Interesting choice, and, obviously, this led to some cracks about the Jay-Z business.
Indulge:
"Actually, my advisors were a little worried about the new Rap entrance music," Obama said. "They [advisors] are a little more traditional... Some things are beyond my control. For example, this c...
Alright, so I really don't know if there is a shred of truth in this, but Jay (apologies: it was his fan Twitter releasing it through Life and Times) just dropped a pretty interesting video via Twitter that, due to its complete obscurity, has everyone suddenly assuming it's an allusion to a new album.
The video is simply a showcase of the title "Made In America," which we all know as the track Jay and Ye put together with Frank Ocean for Watch the Throne, but it runs with Lex Luger's instrumentals for "H.A.M." in the background while chronicling shots of New York City (it's actually not NYC) and epic concerts. There are only three conclusions I can pull out:
1. This is an announcement (strange as it is) that a music video for "Made In America" is coming.
2. Another Watch the Throne tour is in the works.
3. Jay-Z is creating rumors that he has a new album coming out. Or it's just an asinine trick to make me want to say that he has a new album coming out.
That's it. Maybe a new Watch the Throne album. Who knows. This sh*t has happened before, but you can't really tell off of assumptions anymore. We'll just have to see. If any of it makes sense to you, post the knowledge below.
After a little more thought, I'm just going to assume this means it's another tour. A new Jay-Z album is a pipe dream.
UPDATE: Jahlil Beats just told XXL he's been working with Jay. I don't know what the f*ck is going on anymore:
"Me and Jay-Z been going back and forth. He picked a couple of my joints that he’s working on. I don’t even wanna say too much about Jay, but we definitely working on some stuff. I haven’t even sent him a bunch of beats. I sent him my favorite stuff. He hit me right back like, ‘Yo, I’ma go in on this,’ or, ‘I like this.’”
