Christian Louboutin's instantly recognizable red sole will be taking its business up north - the venerable designer has teamed up with Batallure Beauty for his first foray into the beauty realm, formally titled Christian Louboutin Beauté. Squeeeeee!
Though he's keeping many of the details under wraps (like exactly what kind of cosmetics we can expect), he can assure us that his new venture will boast direct links to his ultra-sexy high-heels.
"Twenty years ago I started what I thought would be a small adventure, which ended up becoming a company," Louboutin said in a release. "The beauty adventure is a natural extension for someone like me, who likes to empower women. To be a part of creating beauty seems like the right next step."
But don't expect Louboutin and Batallure Beauty Chairman Robin Burns to rush into the beauty market - the first products aren't slated to arrive until late 2013. Anyone else hoping the chicest crimson polishes and matching lip stains come with a pair of red soles? Hey, a girl can wish!
