Josh’s wolf doubt

Can or cannot Josh control his wolf??, I know he says he can’t, but then, how could he do what he did in the images above??. The first one it’s from episode 1x10, when he was about to fight Douglas and was wholly transformed into the wolf, he walked towards Aidan, and looked him in the eye like saying, “you betrayed me”. Then in the image in the middle Nora was lying on the floor, and he once again acted like he was worried about her, and he was not longer a human being, and finally in episode 2x07, when he and Nora met Aidan in the woods, Nora attacked Aidan and Aidan cut her, but nevertheless Josh’s wolf didn’t do anything to him, even when it seemed like he was protecting her, I don’t know if it is a production’s mistake or I’m misunderstanding, but that’s how it looks to me.

BeingFans : I don't think Josh remembers anything. However, his wolf is apart of him, and I think it does act on his behalf. LIke when Nora said, I think "she" her wolf wants the same thing I want. So I think at the VERY least, Josh's wolf recognizes Aidan. That is however, my opinion. I think also, Josh might have a "pack leader" line in him that allows him to resist the wolf a little easier and do certain things differently. Just a hypothesis tho

Luna Waite V'''''V: I have noticed the "The Ties that Blind' scene myself. Josh seems to recognize Aidan and Nora as the wolf, and that night Nora did not attack Aidan right away if I remember correctly. She looked him over for a minute and possibly only acted because she saw that knife.
Then there is the fact that Nora can remember being the wolf. It was implied at the beginning of the series that Josh can never remember being the wolf such as his introductory scene when he is startled to wake next to a devoured deer.
Yet after Nora's very first night as a wolf, it may not happen right away but she remembers killing Haggeman. Then the morning after in 'The Ties that Blind' they both vaguely remember killing somebody(Cecilla) and Nora can recall that it was not Aidan.

I think that over time they become more adapted to it; remember how in season one when we see Ray begin to turn he's not writhing in pain like Josh always does and he's a more experienced wolf. Nora seemed to pick up on it faster than Josh since Josh has never managed to remember being the wolf really like Nora has but Nora embraces it. Josh's rejection could be holding him back from learning to control it and the few times that he did recognize the people in his life, he was in a severe and/or emotional situation(in the ring before the fight, the hospital while he can't not have heard Nora crying out when she miscarried wolf or not, and in the woods up against vampires). So maybe emotions are key to controlling it.
