Hot off of his reunion with Tony Danza, his brief appearance in the trailer for the most anticipated movie ever of all time, and the impending release of Looper, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is showing no signs of slowing down. His newest project will be a reboot of Little Shop of Horrors, which was an amusingly schlocky 1960 b-movie from Roger Corman and a 1988 musical from Frank Oz. Playwright Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (last seen turning Spider-Man into a beloved and 100% safe Broadway musical) will write the screenplay and, although there's no word on whether it will be a musical like Oz's version, we do know from SNL that JGL is no stranger to song and dance.
And, of course, no post about Little Shop of Horrors is complete without a link to one of Steve Martin and Bill Murray's finest moment (sadly, embedding is disabled on all the clips from the movie on YouTube, but pretty much every song is up).
So does your trust in Joseph Gordon-Levitt make you okay with this? Or do you think Little Shop of Horrors is perfect as is? Can JGL fill the comedic shoes of Rick Moranis?
