Basically the only reason that I'm posting this because I was watching Dead Man last night and I said to myself I said, "Self, I miss Johnny Depp." It's true. The Depp circa 1995ish was not only the hottest he ever was (evidence here, here and here) but he also did some of his best work (aforementioned Dead Man, Fear and Loathing in '98, Ed Wood in '94). Actually, I should have mentioned that it was some of his best work outside of Tim Burton. Yes, I'll admit that the two go together like PB&J, but who wants to eat PB&J all the time? We want to shake it up with a salad or some cold cuts. The two just make a living off of being "weird" and the sad thing is, their business isn't even weird anymore.
That's kind of what annoys me about this Dark Shadows featurette. It keeps hitting you over the head with how weird the movie is. Chances are, espeically since they black out the blood in all the commercials, it's not that weird. Chances are it's weird enough to make a bunch of money and not turn off the smaller, less-inclined-toward-weird towns in America.
Also, how old is Chloe Moretz? Either way, she's too young for me to be ridiculously jealous of her life.
