So, Prometheus has been kicking total creative ass with their viral marketing and their trailers. Posted here for your viewing pleasure is a featurette and the new three minute trailer. Can we just talk about how serious Ridley Scott is? The most serious. I mean, I don't know if he knows this but we all might die from high fiving during this movie. He should at least crack a smile with this knowledge.
The more and more I look at this casting, the more I realize how spot on it is. Charlize is perfectly severe. I think I might actually put money down that Michael Fassbender is a robot in real life. Noomi Repace will probably defeat the aliens by attacking them with her chiseled cheek bones. Then there's Logan Marshall-Green, who I think I'm going to call Tom Hardy Lite. I know what was basically a paragraph all about the surface value of these fine actors, but at this point in time you should know I'm superficial. This is what happens when you "blog" too long.
I think that the success of Prometheus will highly dictate the future of the Blade Runner series. Remember how we heard that was happening? If this non-prequel does well (critically and financially), Scott will get a huge advantage going into the non-prequel/non-sequel territory of Blade Runner. Hopefully, Scott won't cheapen Prometheus by having such intense "wink" moments calling to Alien. If Idris Elba at any point says "Get off of her, you bitch" then I'm throwing my hands in the air and giving up.
Anyway, SUPER PUMPED would be how I describe my feelings right now.
