“when will we get to the point when people just don't care about this issue. let them do what they want in their private lives. who are they harming. who cares who they love -- this is just a sad aspect of American culture.”
The first round of the 2012 NFL Draft begins tonight, and while the Mel Kiper, Jr.s and Todd McShays of the world might spend their days and nights preparing mock drafts that will be 90% wrong and will become irrelevant almost immediately, we're going to celebrate the best tradition the draft has to offer: New York Jets fans booing vociferously.
Surprisingly, I can find only one compilation on YouTube of angry Jets fans booing the franchise's more inexplicable picks over the years. The sheer outrage and disbelief evident in their catcalls cracks me up every time, and while the Jets don't have an especially high pick this year (they're at 16, but it looks like they might trade up for Trent Richardson), I'm sure they'll make their presence known.
Here are two videos of Jets fans booing. The first is the compilation, and the second is from last year, when they reminded Roger Goodell what a sh*tty commissioner he's been. Enjoy the tonight's NFL Draft.
