Gabriel commented on Giancarlo Stanton Monster Homerun Sunday Versus the Cubs:
“Amazing home run. Few players in baseball can hit that ball so hard and far. Can't wait for Stanton to earn freedom from the glorified AAA team Marlins and play for a real MLB club.”

Showtime's latest season of 'The Franchise' doesn't officially begin until July 11th, but the network will be airing a 30-minute preview show on April 21. And what we're bringing you here is the trailer video for the preview show. Kind of a preview of a preview.
The trailer teases with behind-the-scenes footage of Ozzie Guillen-led Marlins team meetings, and also touches on Guillen's recent Fidel Castro controversy.
After chronicling the season of the San Fransisco Giants last year, there was pretty much no chance that Showtime would select any other team than the Miami Marlins for this summer's series. Ozzie Guillen is the rivaled only by Rex Ryan as the most outlandishly entertaining personality in major American professional sports, and should put on a wild show in his first season leading the new-look, re-branded Marlins.
There is sure to be lots of cursing, and lots of half-comprehensible Spanglish coming from Guillen, and the show appears to have pretty intimate access to see how Guillen and the Marlins organization operate, even amidst controversy.
Guillen's White Sox were featured in "The Franchise" in 2009, so some of it will be things we've seen before, but it will be interesting to get an inside look at Guillen in a radically new environment this season.
