NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Many ladies love their handbags and will spend a lot of money for the latest and greatest, but a new study says what is inside those bags may be covered in germs worse than what you’ll find in the bathroom.
For teens, prom is the ultimate excuse to dress the nines - hell, some even think of it like the Grammy's or Academy Awards. Recently, rules against girls dressing inappropriately have become a controversial topic but thankfully, Teen Vogue has come up with the ultimate alternative to the "slutty" dress epidemic - wear your pajamas! Yes, seriously.
Well, no - I'm not talking about your plaid cotton sleepers, but rather the matching, pure silk designs that were heavy on the runways (read: Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Rachel Roy) this season. Even the Wall Street Journal supports Teen Vogue's pajama alternative, who pointed out that "Girls who are emulating Rooney Mara’s rebel cool and perhaps, in the past, wouldn’t have gone to prom are now going to show up in gender-bending, laid back looks sported by celebrities like Janelle Monáe and her signature tuxedo, or presented in Louis Vuitton’s 2012 resort collection co-designed by Sofia Coppola." That means all you Girl With The Dragon Tattoo freaks should keep the midriff cutouts at a minimum.
I know for a fact my sister, who will be going to prom this year, wouldn't be caught dead in her pajamas in public, let alone at prom, despite , no matter how hot the trend
is. Do you know anyone who is gung-ho on the pajama trend for prom? Maybe "too sexy" pajamas will now be the hot topic...
