I don't know about you, but I've been waiting for this one for, oh, something like four years now (yeah, Hail Mary Mallon was awesome, but you know you've really been jonesing for that solo Aesop), and with the release date set, we've now got Aesop Rock's first single, titled "Zero Dark Thirty," from his upcoming sixth album Skelethon.
Aesop's on his clutch as usual, spinning out his sprinting dictionary flow atop a slew of digital sounds, and, at least from how I'm digging on it, the guy hasn't seemed to even lost a toe, let alone a step. It's the same as it's always been--show us the guy that's doing hip-hop the same way Aesop is, and we'll slow down the praise.
Skelethon is set to drop through Rhymesayers on July 12, so that's the official deal. Here's "Zero Dark Thirty," give it a listen, through up your thoughts.
