Nevermind that Kourtney Kardashian is nearly six months along in her second pregnancy, the 32-year-old reality TV star decided she needed a bit of change, so she dyed her hair a couple shades lighter. What's the harm in that? Nothing, according to Kourt, so quit getting your panties in a bunch.
Though it's usually recommended that pregnant women keep away from nail polish, hair dye or any other highly ammoniac substance (forgoing salons, except for a trim, is regarded as the safest for the baby), the eldest Kardashian says she took precautions before using anything that could be harmful to her or her unborn.
"I did research about doing anything to the color of my hair while pregnant and followed all of the guidelines from my doctor and took the proper precautions necessary," Kourtney blogged, mentioning that she hasn't changed her hair color in a decade. "I highlighted my hair, which is considered the safest form of hair color while pregnant, and not to the root, so nothing ever touched my scalp. I also used products that did not contain any ammonia."
Still, it's a little surprising that Kourtney, who's an active advocate of a healthy diet and lifestyle (remember that episode of Kourtney and Kim Take New York where she got an enema and leaked her ass juice on Kim's bed?? G-ross.), would highlight her hair just because. The mother of one was on the defense when she posted.
"Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I take caution in all the products I use all the time, but especially when pregnant. At this point, I don't want anything else on my hair besides sulfate free shampoo and conditioner."
See guys? Everything's fine. Now let's just go about our day like usual (see: investing our entire Tuesday night in The Voice eliminations).
