Celine Dion is waking up this bright morning to a wonderful family and a fantastic career. She's waking up to breakfast in bed to celebrate her 44th birthday and going online to find out that Kate Winslet would rather throw up than listen to her "My Heart Will Go On" Titanic tune that has been stuck in everyone's heads since 1997.
Oh, happy day.
Dion truly shouldn't get that upset. Kate didn't mean anything by it and she's just too much of a favorite to get mad at. But it must have been a downer to hear that Rose Dawson disliked the song, at the very least.
While talking about the premiere of Titanic 3D with MTV, Kate was asked what she thought about the song that played on constant repeat back in the day. You know, the one where half way through Jack's "Never let go" remark would surface. "I do feel like throwing up. I wish I could say 'Oh listen, everybody! It's the Celine Dion song!' But I don't. I just have to sit there, you know, kind of straight-faced with a massive internal eye roll," the 36-year-old beauty admitted. "Every time I go into a bar in a hotel where there's a live pianist, or into a restaurant where they're changing their music according to who walks into the door, it's thrilling for people to 'surprise me' with that song."
The song won an Academy Award for Best Song in 1998 and Dion went on to sell over 15 million copies of the love ballad but hey--not everyone has to be a fan of it.
Happy Birthday Celine! Your day will go on!
