Potential Fiasco: Snoop Dogg And Diplo Announce Reggae Album

It's been awhile since we've got some straight quality from Snoop Dogg (come on, Doggumentary and Mac & Devin Go to High School were lukewarm at best), and after hearing awhile back that he and Diplo were already 18 tracks in on a new album they were cooking, the somewhat positive coming has kind of dropped off with the announcement that it's going to be a reggae album.

Here's what Diplo shared in a recent interview with MTV:

"Snoop Dogg is an icon, man; he's bigger than the music. What we're doing is a reggae record. It's all reggae and he's singing and he's doing a fucking awesome job and I never knew it, but he had his heart in every song."

So, that's that, as they say. Before I go, let me just ask this question: is Snoop doing reggae because he loves bud, or can he actually dig in that vein? We'll see...
