Mickey Factz' left us last year with a lackluster follow-up to I'm Better Than You in Love.Lust.Lost, and after a lengthy hiatus with the highlight being his "Cruisin'" tribute to the late DJ Medhi, he's back with the long-anticipated Mickey MauSe mixtape that, at least from what I've heard roaming around so far, is rolling at a strong pace.
From what I gather, this one's a concept project, the central character in front of the emcee being Mickey Mause, a displaced protagonist dropped off in the 1980s as a graffiti artist amongst fames like Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kenny Scharf, Fab Five Freddy, Andy Warhol, and others. I can't really detail any of it in proof since I haven't listened yet, but highlights have been plenty on Twitter.
Anyway, there's something like seventeen tracks, as well as a Cee Lo feature, and if Mickey's digging up anything like what we heard prior to Love.Lust.Lost, then things should be shaping up well.
Here's a link to catch it over at datpiff. Stay around for updates on mixtape release dates and downloads.
