It's finally here! Justin Bieber's much-anticipated new single "Boyfriend" hit iTunes at midnight. And you can bet I already bought and listened to it (a lot).
"yo @itunesmusic im trying to romance 19 million ladies with my music. you are kinda screwing this up for me. LEGGO! #BOYFRIENDonITUNES," Justin tweeted right at 12:00 a.m.
Whatever the holdup, it seemed to subside pretty quickly because I purchased the new track, no problem. As did every other Belieber, I'm sure. There's no doubt "Boyfriend" will rest firmly in the No. 1 spot for the next [insert an infinite amount of time here]. The song is the first off his upcoming album Believe.
Biebs as been hyping up the single for weeks now, even releasing a 15-second tease on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week. And after listening to the full track, I approve.
It's definitely a departure from My World or anything Justin's done in the past, so go in with an open mind. Think more like Justin Timberlake's Future Sex/Love Sounds. It's much more mature and is sure to catapult Biebs to the next level -- where hopefully, ignorant haters can learn to appreciate the talent. After all, he's not just a 14-year-old YouTube star anymore.
