George Clooney is a long time political activist and, just minutes ago, he was arrested and handcuffed outside the Sudanese embassy in Washington. Clooney, who was leading the protest, and others were there "protesting the country's blockage of food and aid from ending the Nuba Mountains area of the country."
The embassy is on private property and Clooney knew being there and refusing to leave would end in an arrest. The Today Show reported that Clooney's father, Nick Clooney, was also with him.
