If you'll run back to last year, you'll remember GZA dropping word that he had decided to nix his Liquid Swords 2 project due to another machine he had in the works, and after a year flip and some limbo time, he's finally back with word that he'll be dropping the promised album, titled Dark Matter, through Babygrande Records not too far from now.
Nothing has been spread that this is actually the project that GZA was referring to back when he ditched Liquid Swords 2, but who really gives a sh*t--it's a new album from the GZA. Details such as the aforementioned are irrelevant unless you have a hobby of keeping track of who releases what through where.
The last two days have shaped up nicely for unexpected album releases. We got word that Jay Elect had finished up Act II: Patents of Nobility (for real this time), was also getting busy with his Lil B-included EP, and that El-P will be releasing his long-awaited third studio album Cancer For Cure in May, so make sure to have the pen ready to start sketching in the dates.
