Who says that Tree Hill alums can't be friendly after a split? Just last week during a new episode of One Tree Hill the news that Sophia Bush and longtime boyfriend Austin Nichols split. The co-stars were together for six years and the breakup was a shock to fans. Sophia and Austin tended to keep their relationships quiet but on Tuesday their current status was revealed on Twitter. Even though nothing else has been reported on the exes, it seems like they continue to be amicable toward one another.
Tonight "Last Known Surroundings" is set to air and Nichols worked extra hard on the filming being that he spent most of his time behind the camera. He tweeted, "The episode I directed will be on tomorrow night. I would be honored if you tuned in. I'm very proud of it." He wrote to his followers and got a surprise reply from Sophia. She sweetly wrote back, "It's SO good!"
Let's not forget that tonight is the episode where Chad Michael Murray makes his big return to the CW series. Nathan is still missing and Lucas heads home to comfort Haley. The show is not to be missed and it's great to see Sophia and Austin still friendly but the at the time boyfriend directing the ex is quite ironic to say the least.
