Here's a nice little slice of casting news to round out your Tuesday. The übersexy Antonio Banderas has been officially cast as the great Pablo Picasso in the film 33 Days, or more officially 33 Dais. The film, unlike the semi-tongue-in-cheek portrayals in Midnight In Paris will focus on Picasso's painting "La Guernica" and the 33 days that Picasso spent painting it.
This is that painting for all you non-art majors:

The painting focuses on the bombing of Guernica during the Civil War. I will say, and I swear this is not to be an assh*le, but the painting in real life is one of those things that takes your breath away. It's truly a treasure and I am extremely excited to see what comes of this project.
Not only is Antonio Banderas a great actor but the film is being directed by Carlos Saura, who's won a BAFTA and been nominated for many Palm d'Ors at Cannes. I think this might be a big deal guys, I don't care if it has subtitles (although the Spanish dialect is incredibly sexy).
