Okay, so there probably isn't a new Fiona Apple record dropping in "a few weeks" after all (see below)... but it's looking more and more likely we might get one this year. Best evidence? The notoriously reclusive Apple has announced a double handful of U.S. tour dates, kicking off at South By Southwest with a March 15 gig at Central Presbyterian Church.
Whoa: New Fiona Apple Music Coming In "A Few Weeks" (??)
I wouldn't bet my original bootleg copy of Extraordinary Machine on it, but I expect that Fiona will surely have a few new songs to show off, so if you still listen to "Sullen Girl" and "Love Ridden" with tears in your eyes (guilty and guilty), be sure to grab tickets when they go on sale this Friday, February 24.
The Dates:
Mar. 15 - Austin, TX (Central Presbyterian Church - SXSW)
Mar. 19 - Chicago, IL (Lincoln Hall)
Mar. 21 - Washington, DC (Sixth And I)
Mar. 23 - Brooklyn, NY (Music Hall of Williamsburg)
Mar. 24 - Atlantic City, NJ (Music Box)
Mar. 26 - New York, NY (Bowery Ballroom)
Mar. 27 - Boston, MA (Royale)
(via Consequence Of Sound)
