Sometimes, life imitates art. And by art, I mean video games. And by video games, I mean NBA Jam.
As the first half wound down between Villanova and UConn this weekend, Villanova missed a shot, UConn's Andre Drummond grabbed the rebound with 5 seconds left on the clock and promptly launched the ball down the court for a desperation, last-second full court heave that wasn't last second at all. He missed. And then the half ended.
I've never been much for video games, but I did play a little NBA Jam in my day. Problem was, I was never very good, and one of my big problems is I would often grab a defensive rebound and then immediately hit the shoot button when I meant to hit pass.
I guess that's what Drummond did. Check out the video, along with an NBA jam full court heave.
