The Good Wife Recap: Episode 15 "Live From Demascus" (02/19/2012)
It's been a while since we've all been treated to some Good Wife and Will's dancing but luckily "Live from Demascus" started right where it left off. Will's drinking the champagne with Alicia coming in to congratulate him in person. She's also ready to focus in on the new case of the week that brings back Viola Walsh (Rita Wilson) who's now defending client Neil Gross who allegedly had been selling software to the Syrian electronic army. We hope that the episode will just be concentrated on Will once again and alas--we get our wish. After all, a call from Cary congratulating him foreshadows what's up ahead. Will's soon taken aside by Lionel Deerfield (Edward Herrmann) and told that the Bar Association is pursuing his disbarment.
Wendy Scott-Carr. There's a reason why her character frustrates us more than not being able to see Will and Alicia together anymore. Getting Will all hot and heated does help her likability though. He just can't stay away from this $45,000 he borrowed so many years ago.
Glee's Jonathan Groff guest stars in a very different role than what audiences have seen him in. The software given to the army was then used to arrest protestors and Jimmy (Groff's character) is put on the stand to testify. His sister was a victim in the ordeal. Everything seems to be going fine until Walsh shows pictures of his sister taken by a Syrian rebellion website taken three days ago. Looks like she's still alive and Lockhart & Gardner just got quite the shock. The only reason why Jimmy is suing Gross is because he believed his sister was dead and that's clearly not something he can continue to pursue now.
Due to having no statute of limitations for what Will once did he heads to a meeting with Lionel and the association to discuss his fate. Little does he know that Diane sat down with him prior. The decision is clear. Will is offered a six-month suspension, which means no case work at all. To clear away his past this is the best answer to his problem but even this amount of time may mentally destroy Will. He's not one to take anything like this lightly. Alicia talks with him later though and he admits that he'll be going ahead with the deal.
What's The Good Wife without Will Gardner? Lockhart & Gardner is in store for a lot of future changes and like Diane tells him, six months away from the firm will kill him. How is he to fight back though? If he didn't take the deal it could have led to a permanent absence from what he's helped build.
SumOlogy: An absence from Will Gardner may be on the way.
