Linsanity Ends Time Warner-MSG Dispute, Will Eventually Bring About World Peace

Senior Editor
On Feb 17, 2012

There is NO PROBLEM Jeremy Lin can't solve. When his playing career is over, which will be about two decades from now because he is a BEAST with no inadequacies, Lin should be appointed Secretary of State. And Secretary General of the UN. And President... of the UNIVERSE. Hutus and Tutsis will host a joint party to celebrate the reign of Jeremy Lin. North Korea will welcome with open arms its brothers and sisters to the south. Vladimir Putin and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will work together to end the world's nuclear arms programs. But for now, Lin has helped Time Warner and MSG end the dispute that has prevented Linsanity from being televised on the MSG Network in the New York City area.

Yao Ming Discusses Jeremy Lin More Thoughtfully Than The Rest Of Us

Here's the skinny: Time Warner Cable had been in a dispute with the MSG Network over carrier fees, and because they could not reach a resolution, MSG has been blacked out in over a million homes. That ends tonight, as the two sides have agreed to a deal that will bring the Knicks, Rangers, Devils, Islanders and Sabres back to television.

Clearly this resolution is the result of Lin's on-court heroics; who was clamoring to see Carmelo Anthony in a suit on the sidelines as Amar'e Stoudemire tried to put the team on his back? No one, that's who, and anyone who really cared could simply find a place online to stream the games. While Lin himself may not have been present at the negotiations, it was his spirit that brokered a deal. As we all know, Jeremy Lin's spirit is like the ocean: powerful, but peaceful; forceful, yet quiet.

I really can't wait for Jeremy Lin 2032.
