I'm entirely sure what to make of this, but German electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk are hopping the Atlantic this spring to set up shop at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, where they'll be performing one of their classic albums per night in its entirety. (Fun trivia fact: in German, the word "kraftwerk" means "working cheese". Look it up if you don't believe me.)
Consequence Of Sound reports that each performance this April will also feature additional pieces "intended to showcase the group's influence on contemporary culture." If that means an extra robotic cover of Daft Punk's "Around The World", I'm totally buying a ticket. Each show will also be accompanied, of course, by projected images and video clips. Expect to see a lot of burly German men in black and white pulling levers and carrying bits of pipe.
Tickets for all eight performances go on sale next Wednesday, February 22 at Noon EST (right here).
